Destiny just referenced two verses from the bible.
This market will resolve yes if Destiny quotes verbatim / reads out a different verse during the course of this discussion
This market will resolve no when the discord participants leave the call or if the topic has changed significantly away from religion

@PremdeepGill Of course they can. You're trusting them to resolve properly in the first place, allowing them to bet on the market isn't that far of a stretch.
AFAIK earlier bets' payout is not affected by later bets, so you don’t need to worry about people trading after the event happens. (See https://help.manifold.markets/ef908a19ee0e4eeab78359900b23708d).
@Cooley true, but there have been other markets where its more about the prediction by closing and resolving markets at two different specified times.
@x Alot of the fun is trading as the situation changes, and it makes no difference for the people that already bet, you still win/lose the same amount, shares are a 1:1 payout. The site is designed to be traded as things change.
@MatthewH I was dumb, I pressed YES a bunch of times but it wasn't resolving. I had to log into firefox to be able to resolve it to yes but I understand if people feel scammed because it took a few minutes
@ripperino It was just a late resolve? Payouts are fixed in binary and numeric markets so this makes no difference to bettors’ rewards
@ian yeah, the market should have resolved 10 minutes earlier than it did which allowed heaps of trades on an already decided result
@ripperino No prob! Our site has been experiencing a lot of latency with all you new users recently so it’s probably our fault anyways!
