Will I be able to order Chinese tea to my US based address and receive it before May 1st?

I am attempting to purchase $100-$300 of tea from either White2Tea or Yunnan Sourcing. Resolves YES if I receive it before May 1st. NO if the sites don't accept the order, it gets held up, doesn't arrive, etc.

Currently there's a lot of uncertainty with shipments from China, partly due to small value parcels are no longer exempt from tariffs. The US postal service has stopped accepting parcels from China: https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c3w83x38zvwo

Do you live in a relatively rural/remote part of the US or a city/close to a port?

@spiderduckpig SF Bay Area, so west coast of US, near a port.

I think this means it's left China and is en route to the US.

@rictic Shipping site still says the same thing. White2Tea now has a banner "Attention USA customers: We are shipping, but it's best to only order if you are comfortable with potential for delays and tariffs."

@rictic Update: it flew somewhere on an airplane.

@rictic It's arrived in Los Angeles, the USPS has taken custody of it, and it's left the LA center. Potentially the highest risk handoff is complete?

White2Tea sent me an email this morning, letting me know that my order has been shipped with China Post.

White2Tea has posted that they expect some delays and potential additional taxes, but that they are accepting orders. https://white2tea.com/blogs/blog/2025-yearly-price-increases-tariffs

I've placed an order, and will update as I get more info.

I hold 408 shares of YES that I bought immediately after making the market. I will not make any further trades. If the tea arrives I'll take pictures, and either way I'll make an effort to share correspondence about shipping and such.
