I use markets like this as commitment devices. It works very well. I successfully ran similar markets twice, in July and from August to October.

Three rules apply:

• if I don't spend the day at home, that day doesn't count

• I can work ahead for the next day, so if I clean for 40 minutes or more, I don't have to clean the next day

• Joker rule: If I use a joker, I can skip that day. To get a Joker, I have to clean for 60 minutes on three days. I start with zero Jokers.

I will not bet on this market.
