On February 17, the White House confirmed that Elon Musk is serving as a Senior Advisor to the President and as an employee within the White House Office (source).
This market will resolve to “Yes” if, on or before June 30, 2025 at 11:59 PM PT, it is officially announced that Elon Musk will leave the Trump administration, or otherwise ceases to hold any official role within it.
An announcement of Musk’s resignation or removal—even if his departure takes effect at a later date—will trigger an immediate “Yes” resolution.
For the purpose of this market, the Trump administration includes individuals formally appointed by Donald Trump to positions in the U.S. federal government—such as Cabinet officials, senior advisors, ambassadors, and White House staff—whose roles are publicly confirmed through official government channels.
Note: A change in Musk’s role within the administration (e.g. if he becomes “Administrator of DOGE”) does not count as a departure and will not trigger a “Yes” outcome.
The primary resolution source will be official communications from the Trump administration. In the absence of direct statements, a consensus of credible media reporting may be used.
