Resolution Criteria: BOA launches USD stablecoin in 2025?
This market will resolve to “Yes” if Bank of America (BOA) officially announces and makes available for transactions a U.S. dollar-backed stablecoin at any point between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2025, 11:59 PM PT.
The stablecoin must meet the following criteria:
• Be publicly announced by BOA or a subsidiary under its direct control.
• Be pegged to the U.S. dollar (USD) at a 1:1 ratio.
• Be issued on a blockchain network (e.g., Ethereum, Solana, or another verifiable ledger).
• Be actively transferrable and/or tradable—announcements alone will not qualify.
Relevant Context:
On February 25, 2025, Bank of America CEO Brian Moynihan announced that the company is preparing to launch a USD-pegged stablecoin. More details can be found here: Watcher.Guru.
Resolution Sources:
• Official BOA announcements (press releases, regulatory filings, or official bank statements).
• Major financial news sources (Bloomberg, Reuters, The Wall Street Journal, etc.).
• U.S. regulatory filings (if applicable).
If no such stablecoin is launched and made available for transactions within the timeframe, the market will resolve to “No.”
