Resolution criteria
Resolve to the total number of players designated with USA nationality who appear in the quarterfinal brackets of the 2025 US Open Men’s Singles and Women’s Singles main draws, combined. Count each player once. Juniors, doubles, mixed, and wheelchair events are excluded. Players who reach the quarterfinals via walkover still count. Nationality is determined by the flag/country shown on the official draw when the quarterfinal lineup is set. Verification sources: official US Open men’s and women’s singles draw pages/PDFs; backup: Wikipedia tournament pages that mirror and link to the official draw PDFs. Quarterfinal lineups are expected to be set by the end of Round of 16 on Sep 1, 2025; quarterfinals are scheduled for Sep 2–3, 2025. (usopen.org, en.wikipedia.org, espnpressroom.com)

Considerations
Use the official draw nationality (USA) at the time the quarterfinal bracket is populated; birthplace or dual citizenship is irrelevant if the player competes under a different flag. Verify on the men’s and women’s draw pages/PDFs. (usopen.org, en.wikipedia.org)
The 2025 TV schedule shows quarterfinals on Sep 2–3; this helps time when the market should resolve after all Round of 16 matches finish. (espnpressroom.com)
