• If CoinMarketCap’s historical data for that date is unavailable or clearly erroneous, use Yahoo Finance BTC-USD “Historical Data” Close for 2025-08-26 (UTC). If sources conflict, CoinMarketCap takes precedence. (finance.yahoo.com)

• “Below $100,000” means < $100,000.00; exactly $100,000.00 resolves NO. Prices are in USD.

Background
