Resolves shorty after Jan 1, 2027 to relevant authoritative sources (for either of the two distribution systems) and not before then.
Miami-Dade WASD must no longer be adding Fluoride to water ON Jan 1 2027 to resolve YES. If the WASD temporarily ceases and then reverses course and then adds fluoride again before resolution date then this will resolve NO.
Resolution Source examples:
I.e. https://www.miamidade.gov/global/water/water-supply-and-treatment.page
Or: https://nccd.cdc.gov/DOH_MWF/Default/WaterSystemDetails.aspx
Or in worst case, direct correspondence ( email )
Relevant context:
“Since 1958, the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department has adjusted the existing natural occurring fluoride level of 0.2 parts per million found in the groundwater to a range of .6 to .8 parts per million as a dental health benefit, which is still significantly less than the Environmental Protection Agency’s maximum level of 4 parts per million.”
Haven’t seen any sort of fight in the news (either lawsuits or political movements) to reverse course after this came into effect May 29, 2025. I will keep to the resolution time and criteria in case this changes later this year but chances look dim. Now that we have loans, it looks like the probability is too low.
