There is ongoing work on Dwarf Fortress to port it to Linux and macOS, with frequent mentions of it in the monthly update posts.
This market will resolve to Yes if the Steam page shows the macOS icon in available platforms (https://imgur.com/a/1iTihYJ) before January 1, 2024.
Note that this doesn't relate to Dwarf Fortress Classic which is already supported on macOS.
