San Francisco is so back!
There have been several scavenger hunts for various buried treasure (literally) around the city lately. It has been fun for me personally to explore parts of SF I've never been to. However, I've also dedicated an irrational number of hours to this one so far.
Resolution will be based on when the puzzlemaker first announces/posts/comments the treasure has been found either on Reddit, X, or their website. I will use the earliest date they announce and Pacific time as this is a West Coast adventure after all.
If the treasure was somehow "stolen" before they officially announced / before this market's creation date of May 6, 2026 it will resolve N/A.
Full disclosure: I am still searching. I am not the puzzlemaker, and they wish to remain anonymous.
Context & Dates
This hunt was announced on April 29, 2026. It has currently been 1 week, and no one has found it yet. The puzzlemaker claims they will definitely know if the treasure was found (several unconfirmed theories in the Reddit thread on how).
Feel free to research other hunts. I used 3 months as a start but will extend as needed. A similar hunt (somewhat affiliated with this puzzlemaker) took several months. Last note, the puzzlemaker seems to want some level of redemption. Last year it only took 11 hours for their $10k treasure to be found. They seemed to have really upped the ante this time.
