Resolved
YES

This market will resolve YES if the Biden administration puts in place “an embargo on permitting new liquefied natural gas (LNG) export projects” before the 2024 US presidential election.

The WSJ editorial board is certainly afraid so: https://www.wsj.com/articles/biden-toys-with-an-lng-export-permitting-ban-752a62f4

Can’t believe he actually did it

predictedYES

My new heuristic for predicting what Biden (or whoever is actually in charge [Obama!]) will do is whatever damages US geopolitical interests the most. Dear allies: no gas for you!

predictedNO

@SanghyeonSeo my God what idiots

@ma

Should resolve yes I think

How would this resolve if no new LNG export project are permitted before the election, i.e. a de facto embargo, but the administration doesn't announce this as an explicit policy

@JonahWeissman Must be explicit policy or a credible news report indicating the Biden admin directly interfered in multiple project approvals.

This would be too stupid even for the Biden regime. Though it's funny that Europeans would freeze to death and/or Europe will burn more coal and/or Russia will regain some customers because of the intense desire to virtue signal.

I see an article that the German Green party (probably the biggest climate offenders ever given their opposition to nuclear power) meddling in US policy by trying to block an LNG terminal in Louisiana. Fun times.
