Charles Buhler (Exodus cofounder), claims that a long series of careful tests in many different formats has shown that Exodus's propellantless drive is strong enough to resist gravity (meaning that per gram of thruster, the thruster produces more than one gram of force). Charles Buhler is also a research scientist in the Electrostatics and Surface Physics Laboratory at NASA.

He says that it doesn't seem to require a continuous input of wattage, and that after being charged, the drive will just continue exerting force.

Exodus is seeking investment for bigger experiments and demos.

Resolves Yes when, you know, it becomes a product/gets used for major works/launches or whatever.

Resolves No when, either

  • A convincing (to me) array of replications find consensus that it doesn't work.

  • 2037 arrives and it still hasn't been deployed

(There was initially a section here about what happens if the government seizes it and sits on it but at this point it seems overwhelmingly likely that they've already looked at it and decided not to)
