Resolution Criteria

This market resolves YES if DoorDash announces or implements layoffs affecting at least 4% of its total global employee headcount during calendar year 2026. This includes employees of wholly owned subsidiaries (Wolt, Deliveroo, SevenRooms, etc.). Resolution will be based on official company announcements, SEC filings, or credible reporting from major news outlets. The layoffs must be announced or take effect in 2026.

The 4% threshold will be calculated using the most recent employee count disclosed in DoorDash's SEC filings at the time of resolution. For reference, as of December 31, 2024, DoorDash reported 23,700 employees pre-acquisitions; combined with Deliveroo (~3,800) and SevenRooms (~350), the estimated global headcount is approximately 28,000 (4% ≈ 1,120 employees).

Background
DoorDash laid off approximately 1,250 corporate employees (~6-7% of staff) in November 2022 following pandemic-era overhiring. The company has since grown significantly, with headcount increasing 22.8% from 2023 to 2024, and completed major acquisitions of Deliveroo and SevenRooms in 2025.
