Answers will resolve N/A if I decide not to read them / already read them, YES if I read them and slightly like them, such that I'd read something similar in the future (this doesn't mean I have to especially like them) and NO if I read them and don't like them.

I probably won't use prices as a signal on what to read, it's really easy to check by skimming.

I'll also managram for books/blogposts I more than slightly like.

Based on your comment below re: wanting to branch out, you may want to check out some of Lindsay Ellis’s old YouTube video essays on books/fan culture/etc. she made some absolute bangers in the late 2010s that are great entry points for exploring other genres.

If you haven’t read the paperclip story on Gwern’s blog already that’s a must read for sure

I’m recommending “The Maniac” by Benjamin Labatut to everyone I talk to nowadays because it’s so incredibly topical and it might be up your alley if you lean towards nonfiction but aren’t completely opposed to literature. It’s an absolute trip

What are some of your favorite books/blogs you’ve already read?

I'm not going to give specific favorites because I want to branch out into different areas, tbh. But generally all of the big rationalist blogs, and I want to get into more serious/deep nonfiction of any genre (both of the, like, history/analysis types and the 'original work with a point' type).

@jacksonpolack But not fiction or poetry?

I'll still check out fiction/poetry that's recommended, but I'm less likely to like them right now.
