@JoeandSeth Mbappe also got an assist, so even if Messi scores twice, they'd be tied on assists. And then it goes to fewest minutes played, and that's looking better for Mbappe.
@MachiNi they're tied on assists rn but mbappe has the penalty goal and Messi doesnt. So he'd need 2 goals and then one more something to win - and iirc spain giving up 3 in the final is already single digit percent.
