With the establishment of licensed experimental treatment centers under Senate Bill 535, Montana aims to provide access to experimental therapies. This market resolves to 'Yes' if, collectively, these centers treat 10 or more patients with experimental drugs by EOY 2025. Verification will be based on official reports from the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services or reputable news sources.
I reckon 2025 is a bit fast for biotech, but I wouldn't be surprised if this happened in 2026. I personally love to see more freedom to experiment and hope they figure out the tricky ethical issues around informed consent of sick/crazy/desperate people who may not be willing or able to understand the risk/reward of the treatments they're considering.
