This resolves "YES" if I've read to the most recent chapter of "To the Stars" (https://archiveofourown.org/works/777002/chapters/1462001) by the end of the year. I started it yesterday and have read up to Chapter 6 so far, which is 10% of the chapters. I think there's a reasonable chance that I lose interest and completely drop it, or only read it intermittently such that I don't get caught up. I plan to download it and put it on my e-reader for convenience.

I like sci-fi, I enjoyed Madoka. For reference, I leave books unfinished pretty frequently even if I'm enjoying them - I'm currently 10% through Katalepsis and 60% through Tower of Somnus and not actively reading either. The last book I finished and started was Dreadgod about two weeks ago, which is fast paced and makes for light reading. Feel free to ask any more clarifying questions or make recommendations.
