Continuous geometry was formalized by von Neumann and serves to give a continuous dimension function to a space [0,1] instead of the usual dimensions of 0,1,2,3,4....it has many applications in other fields of math, but no real world applications that I know about. If anyone can name a use case (ideally more with links to an explanation) this market will resolve yes. Expires 1 month from now.

I believe it's used a bit in quantum mechanics as a convenient mathematical tool but not sure if thats what you'relooking for.
