The 2026 Washington, D.C. mayoral election will be held on November 3, 2026. The winner will be determined by the results certified by the D.C. Board of Elections. Primary elections will be held on June 16, 2026, with the democratic primary (which in the past is essentially a general election) using ranked-choice voting for the first time.

Many observers have identified this as the most consequential DC mayoral election in some time.
