It's interesting to see the recent trend in Costa Rica's inflation rates. With the annual inflation rate dropping by 2.24 percent in September 2023 and a 3.28 percent decline in the previous month, it does appear that Costa Rica is experiencing a period of disinflation. Given this recent data, it's challenging to predict with certainty whether inflation will be above 3% for the entire year of 2023.

One thing to consider is the historical context. Looking back at 2022, Costa Rica experienced a high inflation rate of 8.27%, which was a significant increase from the previous year. However, it's important to note that Costa Rica's inflation rate has fluctuated in recent years, so it's not guaranteed to remain at a high level.

The forecast that the average inflation rate in Costa Rica is estimated to reach 3% by 2028 is an interesting point, suggesting a gradual increase in inflation over the coming years. It would be wise to keep a close eye on economic indicators and government policies to get a better sense of how inflation will evolve in Costa Rica in 2023. Factors such as government policies, global economic conditions, and the COVID-19 situation can all play a significant role in shaping inflation trends.

Good analysis Gloriana! The recent trend in Costa Rica's inflation rates suggests that the country is experiencing a period of disinflation. Historical data shows that Costa Rica's inflation rate has fluctuated in recent years, and it is possible that inflation could rise again in the future. The forecast that the average inflation rate in Costa Rica is estimated to reach 3% by 2028 suggests that inflation could gradually increase over the coming years. It is very interesting how you aknowledged the importance of other factors that could definitely have an impact on inflation rates in the country.
