Quick warning: the main "Domestic Opening" number listed on Box Office Mojo is typically the 3-day weekend total, not 5-day. E.g. Strange World last year lists $12,151,384 under the main "domestic opening" entry (I assume this is the number you're referring to?). But I believe that covers its Fri/Sat/Sun gross, excluding Wednesday/Thursday. (So you might just not mean the "domestic opening" on the main page, but may want to clarify that).
