Resolves to 'Yes' if Magnus Carlsen loses his No. 1 classical live ranking on 2700chess.com at any point during the specified periods. The bet is void if FIDE changes its rating system or if Magnus Carlsen retires or is otherwise does not compete in a single rated classical game in 2024. All times and dates are UTC.
@diadematus Does https://www.fide.com/news/2538 count as "FIDE changes it's rating system"? I would say no, that these are just tweaks. Changing the ratings of players below 2000 is pretty remote from this, and the calculation improvements are minor as well. (Players at that level don't play unrated opponents, and very rarely play players rated more than 400 points below them.)
@diadematus What happens if he loses it in 2023? Unlikely, but not impossible.
a) What if he doesn't get it back in 2024. Technically, "he will not lose No. 1 classical ranking at any time in 2024" is true, you can't lose what you can't have.
b) What if he gets it back in 2024, then loses it again?
