What relatively unknown ideas, people, places, or things will become relatively well-known in the next few years? Add the title of any Wikipedia article to this market as an answer or leave a comment and I’ll add it for you.

Resolution will be based on the following source: https://pageviews.wmcloud.org/, where

  • "Date Type" = "Monthly"

  • "Project" = "en.wikipedia.org" (default)

  • "Platform" = "All" (default)

  • Agent = "User" (default)

  • "Include redirects" is checked.

Answer eligibility requirements:

  1. Must not have exceeded 100k page views in any previous 12 months

  2. For new articles less than 12 months old, must have at least one previous calendar month of under 100k monthly page views

  3. May not be "seasonal" articles - i.e. "2028 U.S. Presidential Election" or "2026 Indian Premier League", "UFC 301" - as they can easily be predicted.

Any answer meeting the above criteria when added to this market will resolve YES if it meets or exceeds 200k page views in a given month prior to January 1st, 2026.

Supercell (video game company)

Inspired by https://a16z.com/big-ideas-in-tech-2024/:

When Riot Games launched the series Arcane, based on League of Legends, it became Netflix’s #1 watched and top rated series. Companies like Riot, Epic, Supercell, and new next generation game companies are poised to become the next entertainment juggernauts with games replacing films as the core of the “next Disney.” This is already happening without the mainstream noticing and will accelerate in 2024.
