Many US states have statutory provisions for automatic recounts or requesting recounts in elections, including swing states such as Michigan (automatic if 2,000 votes or less), Pennsylvania (automatic if 0.5% margin or less), Georgia (can request if 0.5% margin or less), North Carolina (can request if 0.5% margin or less or within 10,000 votes).

Although there have been several county recounts or partial recounts since 2000, the only statewide recount in a presidential election since the turn of the century took place in 2020 in Georgia.

"statewide" means the entire state carries out the recount, and so excludes partial recounts or recounts for specific counties.

This question resolves YES if any US state carries out a statewide recount of votes for the 2024 US presidential election, and otherwise resolves NO when it becomes definitive that no statewide recounts will occur for this election.
