NO

Recently, there has been outbreaks of pneumonia and chickenpox in my area. Anectodal reports say that hospitals are filling up with young children and like 25% of my brother's classmates are sick. Some are regular sick, some have very persistent fevers over a week, some have pneumonia, some went to hospitals.

I heard the pneumonia outbreak is from Mycoplasma pneumoniae.

Online learning for my brother is set to end next week. It lasts for two weeks.

Will it be extended?

Resolves YES if extended, resolves NO if in-person learning starts on Monday.

Unfortunately, they didn't.

I've heard now that one classmate is sick to the point where he has to stay in the hospitals.

Meanwhile, my brother's teachers are reminding their students to prepare well for their exams next week, and don't look like they plan on extending online learning.

Gotta love Chinese national curriculum schools.

Also, usually, the parent chat is talking about academics, but now, they're all just sharing medical advice about stuff like which hospital or medicine they should take, which should give you an idea about how bad the situation is.
