Will evidence emerge before January 2026 that this is the case? Basically anything that a reasonable person would say "Yeah what Elon said was broadly correct".
Note this market refers only to X being offered the deal, not the part of the statement about other companies accepting.
I may do a poll if it's on the fence.
Elon's claim has three arms: "the EC offered an illegal secret deal", "the other platforms accepted that deal" and "X did not". If any one of these is false, then what he said would not be broadly correct. In at least two of these cases it would be knowingly false.
This is different from the subject line of the market, which asks only about the offer and not the acceptance.
If this were censorship, it would go against the charter of fundamental Rights and constitute COI within the European Commission, resulting in a scandal surpassing that of the Santer Commission. It is more likely that the situation involves confidential compliance recommendations provided by the Commission under the DSA
