What type of things are you looking to do with the API?

Then you need to get the profits (via 'positions' endpoint, which needs the market ID from the previous step):

In general you look for endpoint (url) that contains data that you look for and then if that endpoint depends on some other data you check how to get those. All endpoinds are listed in

 Thanks!  How would I, for instance, get a list of the overall profit for each person who has bet in a market through the API?  Is that something that can be done?

Simplest way it to do it without instaling anything is in your browser:

It will return data in json format which can be nicely formatted on websites like 

 . Obviouly it won't work for more complex stuff, but if you want to just get some simple data, it could be sufficient.

If you need to do something more complex with the data, then you need to code it in some programming language (probably Python is the best). If you want me to elaborate you can DM me.

 Basic stuff, like getting info about a market?  I’m not even entirely sure what’s easy or difficult to do because I don’t know where to start.  Even just knowing where to type the lines of code from the manifold API documentation in order to get outputs would be helpful?  I don’t know where/how to do that 

My level of computer literacy is low.  I do lab science and I can code in MATLAB, but I don't know how to do stuff with the API.  If you can explain to me how to do very simple stuff with the API, in the simplest way (I would prefer not to have to download/install anything) then you get this bounty!  I'm a fast learner.

Idk how long it would take to explain this, but I'm just looking to get my feet under me, so if you think even a few minutes would suffice, then that's fine with me!
