This market resolves YES if Farhanna Farid breaks her own deadlift world record for the 52kg class at any official IPF-sanctioned competition during 2026. The record must be verified through the International Powerlifting Federation (IPF) official records at https://www.powerlifting.sport/championships/records. As of January 2026, the current record stands at 217.5kg, set at the 2025 Asian Open Powerlifting Championships. The market resolves NO if she does not exceed this weight in any official competition during 2026.
Background
Farhanna Farid is a Singaporean powerlifter and 2-time Asian champion. She has demonstrated exceptional consistency in breaking her own record—she has broken her own deadlift world record for the 11th time since first claiming it in 2022. Farhanna recently turned 33 years old and quickly proved that she is still in her prime years for powerlifting. The official IPF June 13–21, 2026 final results list Farhanna Farid in Open 52 kg, page 1 row 5, with a successful 220.5 kg deadlift marked as a world record, above the stated 217.5 kg threshold: https://www.powerlifting.sport/fileadmin/ipf/data/results/2026/classic/Women_Results.pdf . The criteria also name the IPF records page; I have verified the official final-results row, but have not independently retrieved the separate record-history entry.
