i like it so far but would still not recommend watching before reading (as compared to harry potter, where the order of watching/reading to me doesnt really matter)

@astyerche they didn’t make the stepdad gross enough, or explain this his grossness protected Percy, yea. So far, this is pretty much as good as I could’ve hoped for.

The tone is a bit more kid-friendly than I would’ve preferred, but that’s about it. Oh and the CG budget could’ve been 1.5x’d

@mattyb i think its fine that they didnt explain that yet (if they dont at all, then im sad), but if the medusa head thing goes then it wont actually be as motivated as it could be imho

cg for the minotaur was not that bad tbh, but i agree

@astyerche the minotaur wasn’t bad, but they hid a lot of the scenes behind rain and the car chase, or by making him very small.

@astyerche speaking of grover, he was excellent! gotta be my favorite part of the show so far. annabeth may grow on me…

@mattyb luke, dionysus, chiron are all p fire. clarisse is as aggressive as i think is appropriate, the desert line was included! i think clarisse could look more roughed up if that makes sense

@mattyb im in love with the series and i trust rick with this one. hoping for it to be like the hp movies. the disney+ is concerning tho lol

@astyerche i loved the book series as a kid too, and the Logan Lerman movies were so bad. I’m not believing for a second this’ll be good - regardless of rick’s blessing, until I see it with my eyeballs
