Seattle or remote, may rellocate to New York within a year. My best chance is a junior role, another postdoc or an internship (but not a student).

Strengths:

Decent at coding and algorithm design (succeeded at first technical round in Amazon).

8+ years in Java, few months in C++, Python.

PhD in comuter science, structural bioinformatics, but not really a scientist. I can write papers about software if need be, but prefer technical work.

Total citations in low thousands (for software).

Interest + hands on experience in old school machine learning, I should be useful in Pytorch within few months of self-learning on the job.

History of algorithm and sofware development in academia.

I am willing to consider work for $30,000+ during first year, but I need to believe it is a path to $70,000 within 3 years. In case of science, the project must look meaningfull.

Neutral:

IQ 125 - 130

Weaknesses:

I got only ~5 interviews last year, mostly recruiters, almost no response to my own applications in industry (sent ~25).

Only developed software alone or in academia, not a software engineer yet.

No technologies, no SQL, no modern JavaScript. I am willing to learn, but need a project to do so (ideally a junior role or internship).
