Post covid a few companies have been reverting their work from home policies. Will this be the same for my firm by 2022?

Relevant facts:

• during covid everyone was forced WFH

• after Feb 2022 company changed policy to mandatory 3 days per week in the office (2 work from home days allowed per week if no holidays in that week)

• Company is a large fintech with around ~20k employees with Engineering being one of the biggest departments

• Recently there have been management whispers about looking into the WFH stats of employees

• Management board is mostly older more conservative people not typically seen as pro-WFH
