Right now, spotify's active user base is growing consistently, and when comparing Q3 of the previous year to Q3 of the current year, an increase of 25,000,000 users was observed. As the total number increases, it is first expected that the relative number of listeners per artist will also increase. the Weeknd has also been increasing its number of listeners year after year, and has recorded over 100M listeners every month since May of this year. in August, the first female artist to record 100M listeners was Taylor Swift recorded 100M listeners, placing her in second place behind The Weeknd in listenership. This information alone gives you an idea of how exceptional a number 100M listeners is in a year. I would bet Yes on The Weeknd continuing that record for over 8 months and still growing in listeners.

The Weeknd has been the artist with the maximum monthly listeners (110 million listeners per month). When we look at the statistics of his playlists and playlists reach, the playlists' is increasing whereas the playlist's reach has reached a plateau recently. However, this will probably not be the scenario when his latest album releases soon. As seen, when his last album released on January 07th, 2022 (album Dawn FM), his playlists and playlists reach increased rapidly (thanks to the fine music he makes). As of August 2023, he has 110.07 million audiences only on Spotify. Audiences love his music so it is expected that the playlists will increase at a low rate and the plateau in playlists’ reach will continue till his next release. As it is expected to be sometime soon, so an assumption can be made that he will continue having the most monthly Spotify listeners on every month of 2023.
