Sizewell C is a planned nuclear power station on the Suffolk coast in the UK. It is to be constructed by EDF. Plans for the power station have been approved and the DCO has been submitted and triggered. Pre-construction works have begun, including infrastructure and access improvements. These works have been funded by the government.

However, EDF has not yet taken their Final Investment Decision, so it remains possible for the scheme to fail, and construction ceases.

I will resolve as YES once a FID has been reached and major construction begins. If EDF or the UK government pull out of the project, I will resolve NO.

Another £5.5 billion for the project, still no FID! https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cp358ywx7e7o

@traders Sizewell C was granted a site license earlier this week: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-suffolk-68969449

Positive sign, but still no FID and no sign of construction beginning however!
