I want to learn more about the conflict, and I also want to try this bounty feature out. Preferably the most objective book possible
If you are looking for objective sources on the conflict I would recommend “Israel/Palestine” by Alan Dowty. (He also edited a book called the Israel Palestine reader, which feels almost like a companion to it.) “Israel/Palestine” covers pretty much everything up until the modern war pretty comprehensively with little if any biases or fluff.
If you are interested in more objective information about the modern October 7th war there isn’t much literature yet so I’d recommend YouTuber “Task and Purpose” who covers developments in modern military conflicts. He is also fairly unbiased. Here he goes into detail about the events leading up to this in this video.

However I do think if you want to get a better understanding of the conflict you should probably listen to the arguments made by both sides. That’s where (in my opinion) the real conflict lies. Sometimes it’s just better to hear it’s straight and sift for the bias yourself. When its there it shouldn’t be too hard to notice since this conflict is so emotionally charged. Best of luck and happy learning.
