Update: I replied to Case and asked them to consider me in regular decision, but declined to submit the option essay on how Case would benefit my future. I think this market is probably overvalued.

The early decision acceptance rate at Case Western Reserve is 36%, compared to an overall acceptance rate of 57%. In 2022, Case Western Reserve admitted 318 of the 888 students who applied early decision.

I am honestly surprised that they did not already admit you. But good luck!

@XComhghall I think they value 'demonstrated interest' quite highly, and I didn't demonstrate very much interest in Case.

I was deferred, so this market will remain open until I receive my final decision in March.

I think colleges consider more unweighted, not weighted GPA. But 1570 and 4.0 (I suppose) are indeed impressive.

@XComhghall My unweighted GPA is 3.92, not 4.0 - I got a few B+s.
