This market resolves to YES or NO as per the 2026 State of AI Report's self grading of its prediction #7: A movie or short film produced with significant use of AI wins major audience praise and sparks backlash.
If they do not issue a ruling by EOY 2026, I will resolve by asking Anthropic's best model to evaluate based on their exact wording.

I predict that a somewhat popular film will do this, but there won't be a ton of audience praise online outside of high view numbers. (ie, a No resolution.) A lot of viewers will be either ignorant about the behind the scenes details or feel reluctant to praise use of controversial software.

@ChurlishGambit they will probably issue a ruling evaluating their own prediction in time like they did this year. And they graded themselves harshly
