On the Discord, @Gen hinted that it would be useful to have prize points at Manifest:
This could imply that there is some "use" for prize points at Manifest (e.g. they can be exchanged for something, or etc). Guess what @Gen is referring to.
I'll plan to close this market at the start of Manifest.
If any resolutions are contested, I'll ask @Gen if he could be the arbiter.
Any number of options can resolve YES, and you can add your own.
I’m pretty confident this is NO, with Joshua’s 79k the most anyone spent, but @Gen Can correct me if I’m wrong
@Gen I needed all my capital to livebet the poker finals! I'm 20k richer because I still had my mana
really I'm the perfect customer. you're trying to give me cash for my fake points and I'll probably cling onto the fake points forever
@Ziddletwix also the deck of cards i bought with spice can lost in the poker room so i'll need to hoard my spice to buy another deck next time
obviously "i exchanged prize points for cash and then bought something with the cash" does not resolve this year. i expect it will be obvious what it can be directly exchanged for.
also, converting prize points -> mana and exchanging mana for something (e.g. poker buy-ins via managram) clearly doesn't count either. it has to be something like "exchange prize points for swag/etc" (a direct exchange)
Again, to state the obvious, it can't be the currently available conversions options (donating to charity, and converting prize points -> mana). There has to be some particular reason to have prize points at Manifest (the already known uses don't count, although of course finally being able to withdraw to cash certainly does).
If this resolves YES, then options like "You can exchange prize points for cash" and "You can exchange prize points for something that isn't cash" must resolve NO.
It does not require people to use the option, just for it to be possible to use.
Obviously, exchanging prize points -> mana/charity donations does not count—we can already do that.
So it can't be currently available, but it's fine if it's available after Manifest as well (e.g. they launch a feature that continues after the event).
