(i had a good time! fun movie. did not need the constant "nods to the franchise", especially since the movie was solid enough to stand on its own. looks like the franchise fans frontloaded it to thurs but audience reception was good, even if film twitter seems down on it, so it should do good business the rest of august)

Current estimates are of 40-42mil I really hope it will be 45+

Betting some more on 45mil after hearing about the preliminary reviews being good

I will probably go see it but I don't think it will do too well, while it is summer vacation so numbers are up I think people have not been very interested in Alien as a franchise for a long long time.

I'll also add that director has done previously "don't breath" which I liked so I think it will be a decent thriller
