Background:

Historically there is an average of 10 tropical Cyclones in the Australian Cyclone Region.

Recent History:

2024-25 had 12 tropical cyclones whilst 2023-24 had 8, 2022-23 had 7, 2021-22 had 9, 2020-21 had 8 and 2019-20 had 7.
