Refund bonuses are monetary bonuses that are given to backers in addition to giving them their money back when a campaign fails to reach its goal. I have written about them here.

Offering refund bonuses may be legally tricky, as they can be considered a security. But crowdfunding by selling securities isn't strictly illegal, just has certain limitations.

I originally asked whether any campaign will use it by 2026, and then saw that a few hours before @moyamo has created such a campaign to fund a platform for such campaigns! So that made it resolve Yes, and now I'm asking this instead, starting the count now.

This market will resolve yes if there's an additional 10 or more crowdfunding campaigns that use refund bonuses before 2025.
