Only competitive games covered by HLTV counts, not ESEA leagues or any other similar.
Female Team is a team of athletes, each of whom is eligible to participate in female leagues, such as ESL Impact league etc.
Male team is a team, where at least one player is not eligible to participate in female leagues. Any complicated cases is resolved by me, as faithful and thorough as possible, coinflip will be the last resort :-)
Following the introduction of VRS point, female teams are much more often play in regular, not female-only events, but rarely succeed. The last female over male team win was at 29th of July, 2025:
