I think yes, as historically observed, Trump and McCarthy do not share similar point of views, they have had disagreements. From Trump opposing military aid to Ukraine (which McCarthy supported strongly), to McCarthy quoting that Trump "bears responsibility for Wednesday's attack on Congress", the imbalance between them has reflected in spite of belonging to the same party. This incident just showed that the Republican Party is difficult to be managed. @IloraBandyopadhyay I am surprised no one has found a statement of support for removing McCarthy yet. In addition to their contentious relationship, Trump does love to criticize anyone perceived as losing. "I like people who didn't get captured."
@BenjaminShindel Both could resolve as positive. Given Trump's pattern of speech, I think it's very likely that unambiguous condemnation of McCarthy be preceded by a trial balloon of ambiguous support for McCarthy's removal.
