I will eat 30-40 olives the next weeknight I get home late hungry and too tired to cook.
Resolves YES if I don't regret eating 30-40 olives.
Resolves NO if I regret eating 30-40 olives.
IMPORTANT:
I will NOT be eating them directly out of the jar with my fingers.
bought the olives, now I just need to wait for a day I get home tired and hungry
@Wott How strongly does your fulfillment of living a meme in real life drive your level of satisfaction for the sake of this market? If you feel like crap, but make a fun memory out of it, would you feel satisfied?
@Quroe my regret will be evaluated in a narrower scope which will not take into account my desire to resolve the market. This is just about whether or not I regret the physical act of eating the 30 to 40 olives, all social aspects being set aside.
Not that it matters much. I put a very high price on my physical comfort.
i've done this before. Definitely did not regret it, although i'm not championing it as the greatest meal I've ever had either.
Since your description does not say you'll ONLY have olives, my recommendation is to pair them with potato chips. the salty pairing of a potato chip with a manzanilla is really good. and then something sweet to wash it all down like a fruit juice, probably apple, or a blend.
reading my comment now it sounds like im insane but im dead serious lol
@10thOfficial I survived it, and I'm as hardy as wet tissue paper. Besides, look at Bing below, he says you need 700 green olives they're FINEEEE
According to Bing Copilot AI
To determine the approximate total amount of olives one would need to consume to receive a lethal dose of salt, we'll follow these steps:
**Step 1: Determine the Lethal Dose of Salt**
The lethal dose of salt (sodium chloride) is roughly **0.5 to 1 gram per kilogram of body weight**[](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salt_poisoning "1"). For an average adult weighing **75 kg**, the lethal dose would be **37.5 to 75 grams of salt**[](https://www.timesknowledge.in/science/about-us-humans/what-is-the-lethal-dose-of-salt-1757.html "2").
**Step 2: Calculate the Salt Content in Olives**
- **One large black olive** contains about **32 milligrams of sodium**[](https://www.weekand.com/healthy-living/article/much-salt-olives-18017374.php "3").
- **One green olive** contains about **21 milligrams of sodium**[](https://www.weekand.com/healthy-living/article/much-salt-olives-18017374.php "3").
**Step 3: Convert Sodium to Salt**
Salt (sodium chloride) is about **40% sodium by weight**. To convert sodium to salt, we divide the sodium amount by 0.4:
- **32 milligrams of sodium** in a black olive is equivalent to **80 milligrams of salt**.
- **21 milligrams of sodium** in a green olive is equivalent to **52.5 milligrams of salt**.
**Step 4: Calculate the Number of Olives for Lethal Dose**
For a lethal dose of **37.5 grams (37,500 milligrams) of salt**:
- **Using black olives**: 37,500 milligrams / 80 milligrams per olive = **468.75 olives**.
- **Using green olives**: 37,500 milligrams / 52.5 milligrams per olive = **712.5 olives**.
**Conclusion**
To reach a lethal dose of salt, an average adult would need to consume approximately **469 black olives** or **713 green olives**.
Please note that this is a rough estimate and consuming such a large quantity of olives is extremely dangerous. Always enjoy them in moderation as part of a balanced diet.
I will NOT be eating them directly out of the jar with my fingers.
@Wott Will you eat them directly out of the jar with chopsticks?
@snazzlePop I could do chopsticks, but I would transfer them to a bowl first. Unless there are exactly 30 to 40 olives in the jar and I can easily count them beforehand.
@makeworld when I wake up next morning or around 12 hours later if I end up not sleeping for some reason.
@Wott Uh, yikes. I bet based on the title, without having noticed that the description was inverted. I would have bet in the opposite direction :(
@jcb oops me too. But it's manifold tradition that people who don't read the description have no rights.
Looking at comments below, it appears that @TheAllMemeingEye also predicted based on the title (bet YES predicting regret)
@jim OK but generally that's for "the title is a vast oversimplification and sucks if you didn't read the details" not "the title is completely backwards"
@jcb I would rather just transfer mana to cover some of the losses of those who bought based on the incorrect title before I fixed it
