Theoretical physicist Chris Quigg puts forward a list of questions that guide the agenda for particle physics in the paper: https://arxiv.org/pdf/2510.06348. I'm creating a market for each of them to track the progress and interest for the individual questions.
Update 2025-12-31 (PST) (AI summary of creator comment): The universe being dynamic is not the same as the laws changing with time. For example, the cosmological constant changing with time would be relevant, but the spirit of the question is more about whether fundamental aspects like the gauge symmetries of the standard model could be different at different points in time.
Cosmic inflation rate (at least) varies over time.
@AlanTennant The universe being dynamic is not the same as the laws changing with time. The closest example I could think of to yours would be if the cosmological constant actually changed with time. Although I think the spirit of the original question is more in line with whether, say, the gauge symmetries of the standard model could be different at different points in time.
