Datasource will be https://sfgov.org/scorecards/safety-net/homeless-population

4397 is the 2022 count.

I will resolve as soon as the first 2023 count occurs (2022 count happened in Feburary).

Inactive creator, resolving NA as per below discussion.

SF conducts homelessness "point in time counts" once every two years, and there was no count for 2023. The next will be for 2024 and conducted later this year.

How come your market has such a different number for 2022 homeless despite using the same days source?

@jonsimon Unsheltered homeless and homeless aren’t the same.

What if they don’t do a count this year? Seems like they usually do one every two years.

@DismalScientist n/a resolution if no credible data source exists by 1mo after market close

@VivaLaPanda imo the only data source you can reasonably consider is an official PIT count from the city, which yes looks like it won't happen until 2024.

The 2022 number comes from a PIT count, and comparing that number to a number from a different source would probably have more variance due to methodology than because of the underlying prevalence of homelessness.

Thoughts on resolving this as N/A and then making a market comparing the 2022 PIT to the 2024 PIT?
