I have a YouTube channel (Victor's Other Vector) where I've taught concepts in data science, machine learning, and a touch of the computer skills (bash, git, etc.).
But it's been over 2 years since the last time I put out a video. I want to get back into it (for fun) and have a few ideas in mind but nothing more than draft scripts right now. I figure if I can get something out soon, it'll be easier to carry that momentum.
Resolves Yes
If I put out a public video on my YouTube channel (Victor's Other Vector) before Feb 1st 2024 then this resolves "YES". Number of views and likes is not a factor, just if the video gets published.
I will only count a "proper" YouTube video so not a "Short" and I won't consider anything under 5 minutes. (Though realistically, I'd expect any video I put out be at least 8 minutes.) I'm not holding myself to a specific topic/subject but it'll probably technical in the subject of machine learning.
Resolves "No"
If no public video on YouTube is published before Feb 1st 2024 on my channel (Victor's Other Vector) that is at least 5 minutes long.
Background (About Me)
In the past, I taught data science and machine learning full-time for a data science boot camp. More recently, I've done contracting work in developing in video courses on data analysis for Meta with Coursera and NLP concepts with Udacity. So I have experience in what it takes to script out and create instructional technical videos.
In the starting a new full-time job early January so I do feel the timeline of putting a video has the right balance of a crunch but doable.

Ok, I have all the audio recorded and edited down (looks like ~7min video). Probably good because I don't think my voice could do more lol
Now I have to record & sync the visuals with the audio, a bit more editing, and then hopefully have this export & published before the deadline! Still a stretch but I can do it!
(I'm actually surprised how much this deadline is pushing me forward; those "no" votes are surprisingly motivating!)

The editing should be pretty light; I literally use PowerPoint for the visual elements. I never said I made amazing videos XD
But I hope to have something that's still worthwhile. Even if I have to publish it near midnight, I figure it'll break the seal of me not putting something out on my own over the past couple years. Otherwise, I feel if I delay past this deadline, I'll wait another couple years before finishing it lol

Honestly, this is going to be a stretch to get a video out by the 31st. I have a rough script and visuals but still need to go through recording the audio. Then some likely very light editing.
If I was a smart at betting, I'd probably bet against myself...
