I started the Bachelor of Science in Economics at the university of Bonn this Oktober. The Bachelor normally takes six semesters to complete. So, if everything goes according to plan I will graduate in about September 2025.
Wikipedia describes the University of Bonn as an elite public research university. According to the Shanghai Ranking it is the best university in Germany for Mathematics and Economics. The Economics undergrad degree is quite math heavy. The grade I got after completing high school is equivalent to a GPA of 3.
This market resolves negatively if I have not graduated after six semesters (for any reason) or if I decide to stop studying economics at Bonn. I will resolve the Market positively as soon as I have graduated.
I will post any updates about my situation here.
I will not buy any no or yes shares in the market.

This AI summary isn't perfect but it's good enough. Because of some rule changes I don't have to pass as many courses as I thought I'd have to, but I think I would have finished the degree in 3 years either way.
Update 2025-04-30 (PST) (AI summary of creator comment): Update from creator:
Final semester requirements have changed due to rule updates:
Only 3 courses are required in the last semester (instead of the usual 4)
The thesis counts as 2 courses
Therefore, to graduate in the 6th semester the creator must pass 1 exam plus complete the thesis

Will I pass all my exams this semester? | Manifold
In my 4th Semester I passed 4 exams, while my goal was 5.
so the normal amount is
4 4 4 4 4 4
so far, I did
2 3 5 4
@justifieduseofFallibilism do you need to pass 6 exams in this final semester to total to make 2+3+5+4+4+6=24 total? or can you graduate with fewer exams than normal?
@DiegoZamalloaChion I did 5 last semester so its 2+3+5+4+5. So I would need to do 5. But because they changed some of the rules (it's complicated and not very interesting) I actually only have to do 3 courses in my last semester.
I'm always counting my thesis as 2 courses, so I have to do 1 exam plus my thesis.
First semester update.
In my first semester I had an introduction to Economics class that was split into a micro and macro part and a Statistics, Math and Theory of the firm/game theory/business class.
Out of those 4 I passed Math and micro and macro. And failed Statistics and Theory of the firm.
This semester I have Maths 2, Statistics 2, Micro, and Investing and finance as my four classes.
If I pass all four exams this semester it shouldn't be too hard to complete the degree in 6 semesters. If I don't pass all four, this is going to be pretty hard.
