I think there is an ideal language and communication framework (glyphs and stuff) That could be invented but getting traction and perfecting it would be a challenge.

@Guilhermesampaiodeoliveir fair enough, though which existing natural language or conlang do you think is closest to this?

@TheAllMemeingEye Hmmm good question, but mine would have features like bousthrophedon writting, it would minimize lenght of words, it would have a phonemic script, it would maximize hypernymns and eliminate synonyms, it would be fullt regular, it would use all the available phonemes for maximum information density and to prevent allophones and phonemic drift, it would probably try to be logical and precise. It would try to have easy to read symbols that can be written in a continuous line but that can be written densely perhaps featural, it would use the simplest forms possible and it would possibly have an option ideogramic alphabet and syllabary also optimized and using a rule of 1 ideogram per semantic uni and so on...

@MingCat mi pakala, sona mi la toki pona li sin a, lawa mi li jo ala e toki sina ale, toki Inagelisa la ni li lon ala lon?

For fun I would choose toki pona, but for real world use this isn't good, in different contexts I feel this possibility:

For a child at school many will learn another language, but they don't use this language. In this case the language knowledge gets forgotten. However, potentially, a teacher could teach a language other than toki pona, with the child remembering the language and not forgetting.

Sina toki ala toki, ona li pona, toki ma li toki pi tenpo mute lon ma? Sina lawa, toki ni li toki lon seme?

@TheAllMemeingEye wawa a! mi pilin pona. sina sona wawa! pakala wan taso li lon.

sina wile toki Inli e ni la, mi ken pona e ona.

@MingCat

wawa a! mi pilin pona. sina sona wawa!

Mi pilin kin pona :)

nimi "other" li lon ala

"However, potentially, if a teacher teaches toki pona, the child might remember the language and not forget it"

kin la, mi ken ala sona e toki ni:

> Sina toki ala toki, ona li pona, toki ma li toki pi tenpo mute lon ma? Sina lawa, toki ni li toki lon seme?

sina wile toki Inli e ni la, mi ken pona e ona.

Toki Inli li toki Inagelisa la, kulupu nimi mi li:

"Are you saying it is good for the auxlang to be a language that the children are already using all the time in the outside world so they'll remember it? Which real world language(s) do you think this would be?"

Taso sona sin mi la kulupu nimi sin li ken:

"Are you saying toki pona would fulfill this role well because the children will remember it? Though that would seem to contradict what I think you said earlier about it just being useful for recreation, so now I'm not sure, hmm"

@TheAllMemeingEye pona a! mi kepeken nimi "la" tu lon kulupu nimi wan. ni li pona tawa mi. jan pi ale ala li pilin sama.

a, mi sona! mi toki pona e toki sina:

"pilin sina li ni anu seme: toki wan li pona tawa ma ale la, jan lili li wile kepeken ona lon tenpo mute. toki pi ma seme li pona tawa ni?"

(ken la sina wile sona e ni: mi ante ni tan seme? sina wile la o toki)

I don't really think toki pona would do the job well, but I wonder if it couldn't offer a lower bar to entry and get kids excited about language learning. And I do wonder if it'd do a better job at sticking in people's heads long-term.

@TheAllMemeingEye That is wild. Though I suppose they can do so for the same reason I can!

@Haiku yeah it was especially surprising to me given the running joke about them insisting strawberry has 2 'r's, evidently they can spell but just troll us sometimes lol

@TheAllMemeingEye Lol. I think they picked up interpretation of misspellings as a skill due to training on so much text (which is also why we can make spelling mistakes in a chat without throwing it for a loop). They can also output correct letter-by-letter spelling... sometimes. But they can't reliably count letters (without external tools) due to tokenization.
