This market will resolve to the political party of the individual officially appointed as the First Minister of Wales following the Senedd election scheduled for May 7, 2026. The First Minister is nominated by a vote among Members of the Senedd (MSs) and subsequently appointed by the Monarch. Resolution will be based on official announcements made on the Senedd Cymru (Welsh Parliament) website (senedd.wales) or the Welsh Government website (gov.wales).
