Google launched Gemini 4 Argon on October 13, 2026 for Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers in the Gemini app (plus the paid API, AI Studio and Antigravity). Free users got nothing: on October 9 Google had just moved the free plan to an Auto model that mostly routes to Gemini 3.5 Flash-Lite.
Resolves YES if, before November 15, 2026 11:59 PM Pacific, Google officially states that users on the free Gemini app plan (no paid subscription, no trial) can use Gemini 4 Argon in the Gemini app, in any amount, including a small daily or weekly prompt limit.
Counts as official: blog.google, the Gemini app release notes (gemini.google/release-notes), support.google.com Gemini help pages, or an official Google / Gemini account on X.
Does NOT count:
Free-trial offers for paid plans
Access only through AI Mode in Search, AI Studio, the API or Antigravity
Leaks, A/B tests or user screenshots without an official statement
The free Auto model sending some prompts to Argon, unless Google explicitly says free users' prompts can be answered by Gemini 4 Argon
Resolves NO if no such statement appears by the deadline. If Google renames the model, the renamed model counts.

Why low: six days before Argon launched, Google cut the free plan back to an Auto model that mostly answers with Flash-Lite (itdaily). The Oct 13 launch names Pro and Ultra only, with no date for free users (officechai, modemguides). It would be odd to tighten the free tier and then hand it the flagship a month later.
Why not lower: Google has given free users a few daily prompts on past Pro models, and a competitive launch from OpenAI or Anthropic could push them to do it again.
What would move me: a smaller Gemini 4 Flash shipping to free users (that alone doesn't count here), or any release-notes line about free-tier limits for Argon.
